Bob's Journey into Recruiting

Every company has its origin story, and ours begins with Bob Jones, the founder. While still a college student juggling a part-time job at FEDEX, Bob took on a temporary role in human resources, marking his introduction to high-volume staffing. This experience exposed him to the challenges and rewards of recruiting, as he collaborated with hiring managers to deliver exceptional service and developed a work ethic that would guide him throughout his career. Discovering a passion for recruiting during this period, Bob altered his academic path, graduating with a BS degree with a double major in Human Resources & Management from the Business School of Indiana University. His first professional stint was with a midwestern consulting firm, where he served as the IT Recruiter for the Indianapolis region, gaining valuable insights into Information Technology recruiting.
Contributing significantly to the growth of this firm, Bob grasped the importance of placing the right person in the right role and the repercussions of hiring the wrong fit. Building lasting friendships with colleagues, he cultivated his skills in recruiting and entrepreneurship. The desire for new challenges led him to establish his first venture, STAR Recruiting & Employment Services Inc., specializing in diverse search assignments ranging from IT to Engineering, Sales, and Management. Eager to expand his skills, Bob engaged in corporate temporary assignments, including a role at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, initially as an Engineering Recruiter and later as a Recruiting Manager. These experiences provided valuable insights into larger corporations and their unique challenges.

In 2009, Bob decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams once again, founding Bob Jones & Associates. Drawing on his life experiences, he applies his passion for recruiting to address employment challenges, understanding the intricacies of staffing from various perspectives. Committed to customer service and satisfaction, Bob instills a strong work ethic within his organization, recognizing the profound impact it has on individuals' livelihoods and business growth.
